This morning we had a court hearing before the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. The matter was in relation to two young children who were seven and nine years old.
The matter proceeded on the telephone (as is occurring with a lot of the hearings at the moment due to COVID-19 restrictions) at 9:30am today. Each party, the Applicant, the Respondent and the Independent Children’s lawyer, provided the court with a written proposal for how they would like the court to make orders on this day.
The court today decided entirely in our favour and we had an ecstatic client who was entirely pleased with the result. The other party had made an application seeking a change of residence for the children as it was alleged that our client was not parenting the children properly. The court ordered in accordance with what we were seeking, that that the matter be dismissed.
