WILLS AND ESTATES
Settling disputes in an amicable, swift and low cost manner.
A Will is a written document that sets out how an estate should be distributed upon a person’s death.
An estate includes any property you own including any money, land, shares or belongings. Upon making a Will an executor must be appointed and it is the executor’s duty to ensure that the wishes of the deceased are carried out. If the deceased has not made a Will then there are legal rules which dictate how the estate should be allocated.

Pursuant to the Wills Act 1997, there are many legal requirements that must be followed in order for a Will to be valid and enforceable. Thus, it is important for a Will to be drafted by an experienced lawyer.

Further, it is recommended that you update your Will every five years in order to reflect any changes in circumstances. At Brendan Rothschild Legal Group we can assist you in carefully drafting your Will in a clear manner and ensure that every detail has been taken care of.
